If you are experiencing a problem with your pension, profit sharing or retirement savings plan, help may be available through a regional Pension Information and Counseling Project. These five Counseling Projects are private nonprofit programs primarily funded by the U.S. Administration on Aging (AoA).
Visit our listing of the regional AoA Counseling Projects. If you or your pension plan are located within a Project's service area, call the number listed or click the red text to visit the Counseling Project's web site.
If you are outside a Counseling Project service area, a government agency may be able to assist you. You may also want to contact a lawyer through the National Pension Lawyers Network (NPLN), or an actuary through the Pension Assistance List (PAL).
The Pension Rights Center’s National Pension Assistance Resource Center (National PARC) provides training and technical assistance to the regional Pension Information and Counseling Projects under a grant from the Administration on Aging with additional funding from the Retirement Research Foundation and The Atlantic Philanthropies.
